Below is the schedule for 2024-2025.  Any changes to this schedule due to unforeseen circumstances - we will email membership, post to social media, and post to kmfsc.org

Practice ice

Regular season ice will start 9/4.  There will be no ice on the holiday (9/2)Practice Ice will be available for sign-up on Daysmart RecreationReminder - Basic Skills Level 4 or higher skaters are allowed to practice on KMFSC Club Ice & KMIC Open figure skating Ice without a coach. This means that any skater who is a level of Basic 3 & below is required to be in a lesson with a coach while on KMFSC Club Ice or KMIC Open figure skating Ice OR have permission from the LTS Director.

Session 1 - 9/8 - 10/13

Session 2 - 10/20 - 11/24

Session 3 - 12/1 - 1/12 - no class Dec 29th

Session 4 - 1/19 - 2/23

Session 5 - 3/2 - 4/6

11/10/2024 - Try Skating for Free - Register here:  https://www.eventcreate.com/e/kmfsc-lts/

  • 2:30 PM - Registration / check-in and skate fitting
  • 2:45 PM - Required attendance for safety discussion from coaches
  • 3 - 3:45 PM - skaters take the ice
  • 3:45 - 4:00 PM - Zam
  • 4:00 - 4:30 PM - Exhibition – free to KMFSC members - sign-up will be first come, first serve

 

11/16/2024 - 7 am to 5 pm - Turkey Twizzle Competition at KMFSC

 

12/9/2024 - 12/13/2024 - Partner practice and single / triple panel test session

Our partner skaters - Alex and Colin - have both tentatively confirmed as being available during this test session 


Holidays

Christmas eve, Christmas day, and New Years Eve - no practice ice - rink closed 


12/29/2024 - Holiday Party and DJ Skate at night – dinner hour / exact time TBD

Bring your friends, free for members, there will be a charge for non-members


March 2025 - no test session will be held.The board is reviewing for a potential partner practice this month combined with ice availability for virtual test session recording.  This is TBD at the moment till we can confirm dance partner availability. 


Ice Show Pictures - March 9th, with a backup date of March 2nd if the 9th is an issue with our location or photographer 


4/12/2025 - Bunny Hop Competition at KMFSC 


Ice show practices:

  • Sundays - 3 PM - 5 PM – meet on 5 Sundays: 3/16, 3/23, 3/30, 4/6, 4/13, skip 4/20 due to Easter holiday
  • Wednesdays - 4 PM - 6 PM - 3/19, 3/26, 3/2, 4/9, 4/16, 4/23 - 6 practices - extra time for opener / closer and more experienced groups to rehearse

 

April 26 - 27, 2025 - Ice Show 


May 2nd, 2025 - Year End Party 


Mid-late June - tentatively targeting a date this month for another Try Skating for Free event.  Stay tuned for more details.
